Need recommendations for a guided shopping app with product tag-based quiz feature?

Hello, we are wanting to set up a guided shopping experience and are having a hard time finding information on if any of the available guided shopping apps on shopify have a specific feature we're looking for. We're specifically looking for a guided shopping app with the ability to show certain products based on quiz responses using the tagging from the product pages.

I know most of the guided shopping apps have the ability to either just manually add products based on the quiz responses or have it pull up a specific collection. For a variety of reasons we'd prefer to have the ability to just add product tags that directly correlate to certain quiz responses rather than having to fully build out collections for every possible set of quiz responses. 

Does anyone know if there's a guided shopping app with that specific feature? Or does anyone know if I'm somehow over complicating this and there's actually an easy way to work out the quiz logic without having to add all the products manually or having to build out quiz specific collections for every possible combination of responses?

We'd really appreciate the feedback if anyone has any sort of advice on this, even if it's just to say "no, that functionality doesn't exist." Thanks everyone!

Hey! we are building something pretty similar to what you are describing. 

The app will allow you to pair certain responses to either product tags or collections (tags in your case) and the recommended products at the end will be a combination of all the product tags that have been "selected".

Thank you for your response! That does appear to have the tagging functionality we need. I'm not sure if that app has all of the features we need for what we're trying to do, but I'll keep looking deeper into it. I know many of the available guided search apps do have all of the other features we need, I just haven't been able to find any yet that also have that tagging yet. The fact that there is an app with the exact functionality we need gives me hope that there will be a guided search app out there with that functionality along with the all the other features we're looking for. Our Guided Shopping app,  Guidelines Product Finder, may be a great fit. 

With Guidelines we use tags from the product pages to display curated/recommended products to shoppers. You are able to create a series of questions and then associate tags with each answer.  Thus, as a shopper goes through your quiz answering questions, we build a dynamic search query based on the selected answers/tags (We use the "AND" operator between questions and the "OR" operator for multi-select/checkbox answers).  

The app is pretty flexible and can be customized to fit your needs. We also released a feature that tracks sales directly attributed to usage of the product finder/quiz. This way, you can clearly justify if our app is providing real tangible value to your bottom line.

Shopify App stores provides a number of Apps that provides quiz functionality with recommendation that will be depend how the customer answered all the questions and then we can associate tags with each answer. But to keep things simple I'm guessing you are looking to:

1. Create a few questions.

2. Include a text field in which your customers could provide contact details/email.

3. End the quiz, (with product recommendation) or you can redirect the customer to a landing page of your store. 

4. Download the answers and response from your customers for you to get back with personalized suggestion.
