Good evening.

I am a jewelry seller and we are adding new products every day. As we don't want to do double work we are trying to use the preset metabjects for product categories .

We are using mostly appearel & beauty > jewelry and subcategories for our product. Shopify has predefined metabjects for this product categories like:

  • Jewelry type
  • jewelry material
  • color
  • target gender
  • Age group
  • Ring design
  • and a few more

You can see them on your product admin page on top of the pinned metafields you have created like here:

These category metafields can be connected ONLY to category metafields.

So whats the isue? There are no metafield/metabjects for stone names, shapes or types viewable for these product categories!!!

This is what shopify gives you:Schermata_20240629_182223.png

Not available for jewelry !

I tried to create my own metafields / Metabjects but i cannot connect them to the variant option to data integrity.

Somebody of the shopify staff has and solution for this? Stones, sizes and materials are one of the main filter criterias for jewelry stores and you have thousends of stores selling this. Is it possible that you only considered health and beauty using stones??

Thanks in advance for bringing light in this
