Oberlo is showing wrong product price

Hey there!

I've got very annoying problem with oberlo when I'm importing products to my shopify store. I'll upload the pictures to better understanding. 

As you can see the product on aliexpress cost 9.31-9.44 depends of the "ships from" location but when I import the product to oberlo, it shows the product price at 19.77 which is forcing me to put way higher price in my shopify store to have any profit. Some products are in the same price but most of them oberlo shows at double price, sometimes even triple. I don't know what to do because in this case as I can't have products on that high prices. I've sent a message to oberlo but unfortunately there is no answer during last 24 hours, so I want to try here as this problem, the product prices deleys my shopify opening.

I have the same issue and it looks like it on a lot of products, not juste one, the price are higher in Oberlo than in AliExpress shops

Yes, it is happening the same to me, please someone from Shopify or Oberlo can you please explain why aren't you showing the same prices we show in AliExpress? for me, a product which is $22,00 in Aliexpress is showing as it would be $33,00 it is unbelievable... Please we ask for support on this as soon as possible!

Hi All,

Am facing the below issues with Oberlo and things are not getting solved. This is a big risk on the business:

1- Importing wrong cost that can reach to double the cost of Aliexpress in many products to an extent i cannot count

2- Bulk ordering does not work properly at all!!! When i place an order for 15 items for example, and the cart has 15, at the time of payment it shows me 5 items only with the cost of 5 and i have no clue where the other goes. I tried all troubleshooting they suggested by none worked.

3- Customer service is very slowwwwww

Hi All,

I think am now aware of the error in Oberlo that results in change of price:

1) Oberlo does not apply automated discount codes from supplier, sometimes supplier provide an automatic code in their item other than the "New Buyer Code" and this code will not be applied, and this will result in having a higher cost than actual. No solution to this yet.

2) Oberlo reads the product price on a default delivering location of USA and with the USD currency. Am facing this issues where am selling my products for a country other than USA, and the product cost itself is different if you ship to USA or another country, but Oberlo will only import the cost considering item destination USA. Sometimes it decreases and in others it increase. This is very tricky and risky. No solution to this yet.

3) There is a gap of 24 - 72 hours for the updates between Aliexpress and Oberlo.

Thanks osamaibrahim for the explanation. Unfortunately, I am having the same issue and I lost money for my last order because the cost price was lower in Oberlo than the product price showed in Aliexpress.

I hope they can find a solution..... We are losing money...

oberlo is showing the wrong product prices. the price is the different to the orginal price on aliexpress. h

I think the main issue is that oberlo works well for USA only, which means if the supplier changes the price for the country then Oberlo has not solution other than increasing your margin to be in the safe side. There is no solution but the following:

If you are shipping to any country other than USA, you have to first select in Aliexpress the ship to country as "USA" and then check the price, then you will check the country you are actually shipping to and compare the price, if there is a difference then Aliexpress seller is actually changing the price based on the shipping destination, and you can only solve this by changing the supplier to another one who is keeping the price same for all countries.. 

Or just remove the item and replace by another one, I tried so many ways but nothing worked. You can also change the price manually if you have few items. Also, be careful of chinese new year, they stop working for 16 days starting from 5-7 Feb until 20-22 Feb

do you mean change the price manually by multplying your profit margin by the orginal product price on aliexpress

This is what I see, Shopify prices are way to high and it’s on all items. No way I can sell an item for twice as much as msrp.

You could try using the product lock feature in the Konigle app, this should solve these price fluctuations as you can lock the prices and then fix the prices to what you want.

Hi guys!

Just found the reason why Oberlo is doubling the price.  That's because of your settings. To fix that:

Go to Oberlo -> Settings -> Price rules -> change the multiplier for the product price, and that's it!

I am reading this message on 20/01/2022 and a year and a half after, I must say that the problem still persists.

This limits our opportunities for business.

I think that the Advanced Pricing Rules and "Applying to existing products" is messing up our prices and I can only see two solutions:

1. Either set each individual product and its variants prices manually, or

2. Pick a different app for trading.

I am considering the second.
