Offering Digital Tools as Add-ons or Freebies with Shopify Products?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently exploring ways to add more value to customers beyond just selling physical or digital products. Specifically, I run an informational tool-based site called calculadoraprimavacacional.mx, which helps users in Mexico calculate their vacation bonus based on labor laws.

I’m curious: has anyone here offered free tools, calculators, or downloadable resources as add-ons or bonuses alongside Shopify products?

For example:

• Embedding a simple tool/calculator on a landing page

• Offering access to a form or PDF after a purchase

• Creating a membership-style model where users get value-added tools

My thought is to eventually integrate some version of this calculator into a Shopify-powered store, maybe offering downloadable forms or printable versions for HR consultants, small businesses, or freelancers.

If anyone has advice on how to:

1. Deliver free tools while keeping users engaged with the store

2. Turn niche calculators or interactive content into lead magnets or digital products

3. Integrate external resources with Shopify without affecting speed or layout
