Online Store 2.0 themes - App embed blocks not appearing automatically on store pages

Hi everyone,

After researching and prototyping "app embed blocks" to support Online Store 2.0 themes, it looks like Shopify doesn't provide a way to automatically enable it so it appears on the store after installing an app (see screenshot below). With ScriptTags, I am able to have my app immediately appear on all store pages, which is a huge usability win. If app embed blocks are disabled by default, this can impact conversion rates drastically and cause confusion for customers.

Has anyone realized similar issues with the current app embed blocks implementation? If Shopify plans to deprecate ScriptTag usage eventually, it seems the API should be enhanced to allow developers to automatically enable an app embed block when an app is installed?
