App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi,
Order Printer seems to be having problems with Safari 12 on OS 10.
It's weird as it worked once but now says it doesn't support my version of Safari and I need to upgrade.
Thanks,
Hi Gemma,
Nick here from Shopify.
Would you be able to go into a little more detail about what exactly isn't working on the Order Printer app for you? A screenshot if possible would also be useful. On
Did you mean to upgrade Safari the browser too? It could be worth double checking your Safari browser is up to date and see if it works then. Apple has a guide for the steps to update your Safari which you can see here.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers, Nick

Hi,
I downloaded the latest version of Safari yesterday (12), hence the problem.
Order printer flashes through a load of different screens, then it ends up back at the Apps screen with a big red message at the bottom.
Screenshot attached.
Thanks,
Hi Gemma,
Thanks for sending the screenshot, it was very helpful in doing some more troubleshooting for you on this. After further investigation, this is something which our team is aware of and there is a workaround. The way to stop the notification from popping up and to be able to use Safari with order printer is to clear all of the Shopify cookies from Safari. You can see the instructions on how to do this by clicking here. Can you let me know if this works for you or not either way, please.
Any other questions, don't hesitate.
Cheers, Nick

Worked all day yesterday.
Came in today and same error.
Thanks,
Hi Gemma,
Ah ok, that's odd. Can you try the same process again and let me know if that works, please? If the same thing happens again, can you let me know and we can get our higher technical team to look into this further for why to find out why.
All the best, Nick

Thanks for the heads up on this Sergey.
Gemma, has this still been happening for you? Let me know if it has and we can look into it further should we need to.

I can confirm it doesn't work for me. I installed yesterday to check before my reply and double checked today before my second reply. I'm an app developer and just want to help Shopify make their own app better.
You don't need an answer from Gemma. Look at the reviews:
I'm having the same apparent problems and I purged my cache and Shopify-related cookies. I think this current problem started with 12.1 though.
Safari 12.1
Mac OS 10.12.6
Just wanted to add that I'm having the same problem. I have to use Chrome to print packing slips. I have tried the cookie solution and this only ever works temporarily. Upgraded to MacOS Catalina Beta and still no change.
I'm having this issue now as well, since the last Mac/Safari update. The 'fixes' haven't worked and I have to use Chrome to print my orders etc. This is getting old... one more thing on top of other little things that are adding up to starting to look at alternatives...
MacOS 10.13.6
Safari 13.0.1
Another one who is having the same problem since updating to Catalina.
Just get stuck in a circular loop with Server Error messages , and eventually end up on the Apps page saying that The application can't be loaded with the current version of Safari, please clear cookies or try again with a different browser.
I've tried the cookie clearing tip detailed above which didn't work.
Safari Version 13.0.4
Mac OS 10.15.2
Same problem for me.
Shopify - is anyone listening? Lots of people use Safari, particularly if you include iPad users
Order printer stopped working with Safari 13 (specifically v. 13.0.4) on macOS Catalina (10.15.2). Seems to be a recent event, at least for me. Also noticed it stopped working on iPadOS (latest) under Safari. Using the iOS/iPadOS app doesn't really help as half the page prints blank, so when it comes down to it doesn't work there, either.
I've l cleared cache/cookies, restarted Safari on Mac, still no joy. Is there an ETA as to when this will work again under Safari? Would like to be able to work within the admin area and print orders from our preferred browser and not have to run a second browser just to print orders.
Hello, did you ever get a fix for this? I also have this problem and it's a right pain! Cheers, H
Hi, yes it is

working now. I don't recall ever doing anything to fix, so assumed Shopify or Apple had made a change that fixed the problem. Are you on the latest MacOS/Safari - 10.15.4 & 13..1?
