Hi! I am not sure if there is anything out there like this, but we are trying to figure out how to create a customer facing progress bar/info for orders where they ordered a specific custom product.
Example(specific in our case): When the customer orders prescription eyeglasses, they can visit their order page, or a different specific page, that is populated with what stage of the production process their custom lens are in.
we can manually update the progress using our internal systems or use a zap to tie to google sheets. We would like for this to have about 6 steps.
i typically see this with pizza trackers or the Nike custom ordered shoes..
Worst case, it wouldn’t even have to be an elaborate graphic right away, even if we were just able to Mr. custom status with text.
This would typically be done with order tagging app, order status app, or a metafield app.
If on the shopify advanced plan, shopifys flow app is now available no longer restricted to Plus plans.
It has an order metafield action now https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shopify-flow/reference/actions/add-order-metafield
If your using zapier you could just pass the progress level to a metafield or a tag through the shopify api integration zapier has.
Then, from whatever method used, use the metafield or tags in logic in the templates to to fill the bar.
If there are other shopify based factors there are scriptable automation tools likes usemechanic to create and manage this data without a UI.

Also be aware depending on shopify depending where and how this done sometimes status/thankyou pages are cached so the status may not seem to update especially if you are trying to do this as a real time "live" tracking bar.
