Organise search results by Newest in Dawn?

Hey there, 

I'm using the Search & Discover app. Is there a way to organise the items when someone searches in the search bar for them to be automatically organised by newest added. Likewise for the bar on the right (screengrab below) to have "sort by: newest" added? 

I can't see anything in the app settings.

While Shopify doesn't support customization of the sort by option out of the box, there are a couple of workarounds you can explore.

Firstly, you can use the Product Boosts option in the Search & Discovery app to organize items. This might help you achieve the desired outcome.

Alternatively, you can create a custom JavaScript-based filter and sort by option, but I must warn you that this can be a lengthy process.

A simpler solution might be to create a new collection specifically for newly added products. This way, you can easily showcase your latest items without having to worry about custom coding.
