App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello,
New here. I just got my site transferred over the other day from GoDaddy. Everything seems to be working ok except for I am unable to connect to pinterest app or google app, when I try I get an error such as this 2a361e.myshopify.com redirected you too many times.
I was able to successfully connect the facebook app, klaviyo app , yopto app & shuttle app. My site is up and loads well - beetlebeedesigns.com
I have tried using both chrome & microsoft edge
When I did a website host look up, cloudflare came up for shopify so I think my domain redirect is working + the new site is loading but maybe I am off somehow. Any insight is appreciated!
Thank you in advance
Lia
Hi, @BeetleBeeLia!
Welcome to Shopify Community. Thank you for sharing your question with our network.
It sounds like you are encountering these errors while installing these apps in the Admin, yet you did not experience the same time out beforehand. Before we dive in, I want to make sure that all local errors are completely ruled out to enhance future troubleshooting. Can you please attempt the following:
If the issue continues to persist at that point, we can definitely say something more is going on. If so:
That way I can bring this up to our technical team and offer alternative solutions. I look forward to your reply.

Olivia - Thank you so much for reaching out.
Over the past few days I was able to get the pinterest app to connect though I am having catalog issues. I reached out to pinterest directly regarding this & hopefully they can provide a solution.
I am still having issues with connecting to Google/Youtube
I changed browsers to chrome (version Version 115.0.5790.170 (Official Build) (64-bit)) with cleared cookies/cache on a different network & received an error now saying shopify refused to connect (the screen shot doesn't have the wording because you have to hover over the frowning face for it to appear)
I also installed the shopify app on my phone & tried to connect that way & received an error.
Today I also saw an error pop up regarding my CNAME being incorrect in the shopify settings panel however when I double checked my DNS settings my CNAME was correct.
I've attached a few screen shots including my DNS settings. I do have an e-mail that I set up with godaddy when I was using them as hosting, I wonder if it causing issues. Please check it out when you have the chance.
Appreciate your help!
Lia
Thank you for following up, @BeetleBeeLia!
I am glad to hear that you were able to get the Pinterest app to work and that you're in touch with their team regarding the catalog issues.
As far as the other concerns, I noticed right away that your CNAME record does appear to be incorrect. If you review our third-party domain connection manual, you will see that we recommend the www
CNAME record be set to shops.myshopify.com
.
As per your screenshot, you have a different record for "www" - while I can't be sure what you are using that for, I can definitely clarify that is the issue Shopify is having connecting to it.
As far as the Google & YouTube channel issue goes, I wonder if it is occurring prominently because the domain is not yet properly connected. Since you have ruled out local causes as being the error, I would also like to rule the domain connection out as well.
Please resolve that as soon as you can and allow up to 48 hours for propagation. At that point, check back in with me if the issues persist.
Warm regards,
