Hey so I created a pixel and successfully connected it to meta. When testing it on the dataset tab, it shows up and successfully tracks movement.
when I click create an ad though, when it’s time to select a pixel, it shows that no pixel is there and it asks me to create one. If I try creating one, it just says an error occurred when I select Shopify (presumably because a pixel is already in place).
any idea on how to fix this?
Hi legen appearel,
Thanks for your query.
you are not getting the list of pixel you want to integrate with ads manager because you have not assigned the pixel with ads account in data source.
from business setting select dataset and pixel, select the pixel you want to use , click on connect asset, select business asset and tick mark on ad account.
Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Thanks
Hello @Legend_Apparel
This usually comes down to a mismatch between the Pixel you installed via Shopify and the Business Manager you’re using to create the ad. Even though your Events Manager shows incoming data, Ads Manager only lists Pixels that are “owned” by the same BM you’re currently in. Here’s how to fix it:
1. Confirm Pixel Ownership
2. Reconnect via Shopify’s Meta channel
3. Wait a few minutes
Once you reconnect, give Facebook 5–10 minutes to sync the assets. Then in Ads Manager, start your campaign setup again; your Pixel should now appear in the dropdown.
4. Test in Ads Manager
When you reach the Ad Set level and pick a conversion event, click the pixel dropdown—you should see the same Pixel ID that’s firing in Events Manager.
If you still get an error when Shopify tries to create a new Pixel, it means it already exists in that BM. You can safely ignore the “error occurred” message once you’ve confirmed the asset links in step 1. After that, Ads Manager will let you pick your existing Pixel for tracking conversions in your ad sets.
