Postcode Pricing

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Just want to know if anyone could steer us in the right direction, we are setting up an online shop for delivery of services to the local area. We price depending on location, specifically postcode. I havent been able to identify an app or a native way of making this work. Any pointers would be greatly appricated.

Its good to know that that you are setting up an online shop for delivery services. From your requirements, i see that you need delivery price based on postcode  but as per Shopify, you can set up custom shipping rates if you have CCL(Carrier Calculated Shipping) enabled. By default only ADVANCED & PLUS shopify plans support CCL.

What if you have a Basic or Shopify plan?

It is not necessary to choose the advance plan of the shopify subscription but here are the different options to enable the “Third-party calculated shipping rates” on “Basic Shopify” or “Shopify” Plan.

1) Annual pay of any Basic or Shopify plan to enable this Third-party calculated shipping rates. Annual pay of any basic or shopify plan to enable this Third-party calculated shipping rates.

OR

You have to pay $20/Month to enable Carrier calculated shipping with your monthly Basic Shopify plan.

Once you choose one of these above option after that you can use the custom shipping rate using suggested app on shopify checkout.

There is a great app by Zapiet called Delivery Rates by Zipcode that calculates the right prices for deliveries based on zip/postal code. This fully-featured and customizable app automatically fetches rates for your customers at checkout. It works for deliveries to one zip code, or thousands.
