Price match AND add markup

Our business is for people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities who have received a voucher from our state to help them purchase a communication device (basically, phones and tablets). 

We sell items for cost + 25%, and accept the voucher as payment. The 25% is what the state allocates as our profit.

The issue is that some products we carry change prices on a seemingly weekly and sometimes daily basis. Just this morning we sold a device that ended up costing us $100 more than anticipated. Because of who our clientele is (disabled and often poor), we usually end up eating that extra cost.

We need an app that will check the retail outlet we use to purchase our products daily for each device we carry, and then adjust our pricing to match that cost + 25%. It is SO time-consuming to check prices manually, and we are willing to pay for this service since we lose money when our current system doesn't work.

Does this app exist? Please help!

1. Can you share your store Url?

2. How to get the prices from retail outlet?

We just look on BestBuy.com (which is where we buy Samsung devices), and then mark that up. Unlike Apple, their prices are all over the place.

I'm not comfortable sharing our URL, if that's ok. I'm new here, and we've been getting spam orders and chargebacks lately.

OK, I understand. You need a custom app to implement price match functionality.

You can follow the steps to achieve your needs.

1. Get your products from BESTBUY.  As BESTBUY provide product API to get the products.

2 .Adjust your shopify product prices using shopify product API in the custom app.

I don't understand. Are these the instructions to build a custom app? If so, I am hopeless. Explain it to me like I'm five. Or like I'm 48, but got a degree in theology instead of something that helps here. 😉

Nope. Since our primary issue is Samsung devices from BestBuy, we just installed a chrome extension that checks those prices daily and emails us if there are changes.
