Publisher theme cart showing extra variants

Hello, I am a new shopify user in the process of setting up my first store. I am using the publisher theme. I added the Easify app to use in place of the default variants, and deleted the default variants from the theme, however, they are showing up in the cart. If I add product to the cart, the product I added shows up in the cart correctly, however, so do the default variants. Anyone know how to fix this??
