Question about making instagram shopping

"These assets are already linked to a shop. Since you don’t have permission to edit the catalog connected to this shop, a Business Manager admin must assign you Manage catalog permissions to continue."

is the message I get when I try to link my page. 

I do have a history of setting up the shop on the Instagram page but it never got approved. Is that the reason? 

Then what should I do? I tried everything but nothing seems to be able to clear this "shop" linkage.

I tried creating a new Facebook page. If I linked that page to my Instagram account and connected that facebook page to Shopify, would that work?

It seems the issue might be with permissions and your past shop setup. Trying a new Facebook page linked to Instagram and connecting it to Shopify could be a solution.
