Hello!

I use the shopify app: OUTLINKS to add products to jessegolden.com. The buy now button takes the customer to different webspages and products around the web. In the last month any new product i add doesnt show the buy now button. I looked in themes>customize>product pages beacuse i was directed there by a shopify rep but there is still no luck solving this issue. Most products do have the buy now button it is only newly added products that are missing it. I also spoke woth outlinks and they said shopify must help they can't.

Hey there,

To address your issue with the missing "Buy Now" button for new products in Shopify using Outlinks:

1. Check Outlinks Settings: Ensure the app’s configuration applies to new products and isn’t limited to older ones.
2. Product Template Settings: Compare the product template settings of new and old products in Themes > Customize > Product Pages to ensure consistency.
3. Product Details: Make sure all required product information is filled in for the new products.
4. Theme Compatibility: Ensure your theme supports the "Buy Now" button for new products. You may need to adjust the theme or code to resolve this.
5. Clear Cache: Clear your browser cache and check if the issue persists. Also, update your theme if necessary.

If the problem continues, contact Shopify support again with specific examples for deeper troubleshooting.

This issue only started occurring in the last month and we haven't changed any coding or settings. Any reason as to why it would start happening out of the blue and only to newly added products?

Thanks

Here are a few potential reasons for your issue:

1. App or Theme Updates: Automatic updates to Outlinks or your Shopify theme may have introduced conflicts, affecting how new products display the "Buy Now" button.
2. Shopify Platform Changes: Shopify might have made backend updates in the past month that are affecting third-party app integrations with newly added products.
3. Theme Template Issues: The product template for new products might have a bug or configuration issue not affecting older products.
4. Cache or Browser Issues: Cached data may be preventing new changes from reflecting properly on newly added products.
5. Settings Not Applying Automatically: Outlinks settings might not be applied to new products automatically, requiring manual configuration.

Here are a few steps to check and resolve theme compatibility for the "Buy Now" button in Shopify:

1. Check Theme Customization: Go to Themes > Customize > Product Pages in the Shopify admin to verify if the "Buy Now" button is enabled for new products.
2. Compare Product Templates: Ensure new products are using the same template as older products by checking the Theme Template field in product settings.
3. Review Theme Code: Go to Themes > Actions > Edit Code and check the `product. Liquid` file for the "Buy Now" button code. Compare it with old product templates to ensure consistency.
4. Update the Theme: Apply any available theme updates, as these could resolve compatibility issues.

thanks,

outlinks said For the older products added via the Outlink app, the "Buy Now" button is visible because you have assigned values to the quicklink metafields. However, for the new products, these values are not present, which is why the button is not displaying.

is someone able to help me correct this.

we never changed anything so a bit confused as to why this started happening

thanks
