Recurring payments and authorization hold

Howdy dream team, I’m hoping there’s an answer, I want to start a long term rental business, which means I need shopify to do two thing on customer signing up:

-make a authorization hold (in case they don’t return the rented product)

-setup a monthly payment 

-ideally I’d also want a background check of some sort..

I should add - I’m playing with the recharge subscriptions but not convinced it will do
