App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello everyone,
I am currently in the process of developing an application allowing users to buy a service from a third-parties and intend to charge a commission on each sale as my revenue model.
Could someone confirm this model is currently possible? I would like to confirm that the Shopify commission on my sales will be based on my commission fee and not on the total value of the products/services sold via my application. Example: if I sell a $100 product/service and take a 10% commission, then my revenue will be $10. Will the commission I have to pay to Shopify be based on the $10 or the $100?
I am struggling to understand if this is possible via the Billing API or if I can just declare my revenue to Shopify (only my commission) on gross sales somehow?
Thank you.
