Run a mutation on app extension only

I created an app extension only, and it generated a “ready to use code” just to start the project easily. The thing is when I try to make a query I managed to retrieve data, with graphQL “query” , but when I try to use mutations it fails like it recognizes like I use only storefront api, but the mutation is admin api.
