App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi!
I'm wondering if someone can help me as I'm slowly going crazy.
I've got some integer metafields set up that I'd like show as product filters as a slider (capacity, specific product dimensions that aren't regular WxHxD etc).
I looked at the Shopify Search & Discovery app and I'm 99% sure I read documentation that said the app would allow for using integer metafields as a filter and using a slider to allow users to control their filter options on it - I'm certain I also saw documentation that showed how you can configure settings for said slider for each metafield.
However, trying over the last few days, although I can add the metafield as a filter option, it displays a long list of all the integers in the filter pane with no option to change this to a slider...
I've contacted Shopify support but I couldn't seem to get an answer on if this is possible functionality in the Search and Discovery app.. I feel like I'm being gaslighted into this feature never existing when I'm 99% sure I read exact documentation and information on this less than a week ago!!!
Can anyone please confirm if it's possible to use the app to create a slider filter instead of a list of values in the filter pane?
Also looking for this functionality - currently using a 3rd party app, but syncing issues causing frustrations - so I would prefer a native solution. Hopefully Shopify update the app to include this soon.
Looking for same solution. Driving my head in I can't get it to work with the native app. Can I ask what 3rd party app you're using?
Thanks
I've used search and filter previously.... very good.
Hi - I have used two - Boost AI Search and Discovery (Quite pricey) and Smart Product Filter & Search which has better translation capabilities.
Hi CallumMK,
Does this help?
https://docs.searchanise.io/set-up-filters-based-on-product-options-tag-prefixes-metafields/
Scroll down to or Search for Adjusting Numeric Filters by Product Metafields
It would be easy enough to create a custom slider if the backend would just send back max_value and min_value on lists. Or take into account when integers or decimals are used in lists. This is a real oversight on Shopify's part.
