Seeking Advice on Accidental AutoDS Subscription

Hello Shopify Community,

 

I hope you're all doing well. I find myself in a situation and thought this would be a great place to seek some advice. I recently encountered an issue with my AutoDS subscription through Shopify, and I could really use your insights.

Here's what happened: While testing the waters with AutoDS to enhance my Shopify store's functionality, I accidentally subscribe to their annual plan instead of the intended monthly subscription. This led to an impending charge of $330 that I wasn't prepared for. In a moment of panic, I deactivated my AutoDS account to prevent the charge.

I've already reached out to AutoDS support and have a ticket pending with them, with an expected response time of 24 hours. While I'm waiting for their guidance, I'm curious if any of you have encountered a similar situation or if you have any advice on how to handle this.

Specifically, I'm hoping to switch my subscription billing from annual to monthly to better suit my needs. If any of you have insights on how to navigate this situation or if there's a way to prevent the impending charge, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Additionally, I'm considering reaching out to Shopify support for any assistance they might be able to offer from their end.

Your best hope for solving this issue is what you've already done by reaching out to the developers of AutoDS directly.

Patently untrue, see this forums heading subparagraph:

You may be confusing this general area for one of the partners subforums like APIs and SDKS which long ago were sillily made public.

Wait, so can you please tell me what happened?

This also happened to me. I was going to do their monthly plan after the free trial, but I forgot and didn't change it after the trial. And, now I also have the impending charge on my shopify account. I also deactivated and canceled my account, so now I can't really contact them about my account. 

Did you end up having to pay the bill, if you didn't, then how did you resolve it with them??
