Selling Digital Products like MP3 Download

Which is the best way to sell digital content? We need to have an automatic email for the customers with the link and that they later find the download also in their account on our website.

Someone once told me that there would be a solution without an app. Since we alreday have 5 GB content it would be 9$/month and with time even more with an app. Is there a better way?

In terms of what you're looking for - 

1. There isn't an easy solution without an app. However, Shopify's app for digital downloads is free and it's a great place to start.

2. The free app has some limits - like file size, not enough customizability, missing security & content protection features etc. But it's still good enough to start.

3. When you have enough orders coming in, invest in a good app. The one you linked is good, and our app also has affordable plans with all the features packed in to help you sell digital products easily!

The main things you want to look for in a digital downloads app are security & content protection, ease of access to downloads for your customer and frequent updates. Hope this helps!
