Selling Knitting patterns but need to be able to add many custom sizing and yarn variants

Most bundling apps do not seem able to do this. 

We sell Knitting patterns and yarn, and some knitting/crochet equipment.

We have the knitting patterns as separate products, and the yarns as separate products, but with many variants of colour per yarn.

Each pattern is made with a specific yarn in mind, and many clothing patterns come with different sizing options that change the number of yarn balls needed. The pattern often includes a table similar to this to explain it.

What we need is a way for customers to select the size they want to make the pattern in, then select the colour variants of the yarn linked to the pattern, and for it to automatically add the number of balls of yarn it says are needed to complete the pattern at the size selected.

We would also need it to tell customers if they can select the colour in the first place, as we sometimes wont have the correct amount in stock of certain colours for the size selected. 

We would also need to be able to customise the sizing options available, and the number of colour options available for each individual pattern. Some patterns have more/different sizing options, and some such as blankets, hats, & Scarves are a one size product. 

also, some patterns contain more than 1 project within them, so we would also need to be able to have the customer select which project they would like to complete from the pattern, or multiple.

I know this is a lot to ask for, and will probably require a fully custom application.

You can see how you select digital or printed pattern, then select the project from the pattern you want to complete, then select the sizing option, and then this changes how much yarn you are adding when selecting the colours you want. Then you can add it all to the basket with 1 click.

You might consider using the Easify Product Options app to set up your product options. Here’s a quick demo for Yarn options in a specific Pattern, and you can add more custom options as needed:

You can set the default number of each Yarn color for each Pattern size in the app (e.g: 2 Pink, 2 Yellow, 1 Orange).

To meet your needs, you'll likely need to combine features like Advanced Conditional Logic with Shopify variants, Add-on products, and Image Swatches with a Quantity Selector.

Since I don’t have detailed information about your products, this suggestion might not fully align with your requirements. I recommend trying the app and experimenting with different setups to see if it fits your needs. Thanks, This looks a very useful app, However there is a bit more functionality I would need that the app doesn't support as far as I can work out. I have a dev making something for me at the moment using shopify metafields, but I'll try to explain it more to you as well just in case. 

In that example site, there are only 3 colours that are set as options, and are free add-ons to the pattern. We need the pattern page to be offering any one of the many colours we have. For example, we have a yarn called Bonus DK. There are close to 100 Colours of it, and we would need a customer to be able to select any of those 100 Colours. For the example you have, that means they would have to be able to select any 3 of those 100 colours, and then have it set to add to the basket the amount designated by their size selection. We would need this colour selector to be drawing from the yarn product page into the pattern product page, so that it is counting the stock and only allowing someone to buy it if we have enough of that colour. For example, in your pattern page it says they need 4 of the pink at the XL size, so we need it to know if we have 4 of the Pink in stock for them to be able to select that colour. 

Also, all of this would change the price in the final cart. in those examples given, it is always $99 regardless of the amount of yarn selected. Each ball of yarn has a separate price, and the pattern has a separate price to buy on its own. We would need the customer to see in the basket at the end how much they have spent on each colour selection + the pattern separately. All our patterns are £3.45 on their own, and 1 ball of Bonus DK is £2.75. If they select a size that means they buy 3 colours, 3 of Colour A, 2 of Colour B, and 1 of Colour C, Then all together this should add up to £19.95. However if they select a larger or smaller size, they could need less of Colour A and B meaning the price should be lower. 

Maybe your app has the possibility to do this with a lot of customisation, and if so I can't figure it out.
