We need to be able to detect when one of our customer's shops closes. The shop/update webhook was working well for us for this purpose, but for the past several weeks it doesn't appear that a shop/update webhook has been triggered when the shops have closed (according to Shopify's own logs of the webhook events). I've confirmed that we're subscribed to the shop/update webhook for all of our "open" shops, and also seen that we've received shop/update webhook events for the closed shops prior to their closing (again, confirmed against Shopify's own logs of the webhook events for these shops).
Is this a bug? Or are there specific instances where a shop going to inactive/being closed can occur without the shop/update webhook being triggered? If there are such instances, is there some other way we'd be able to receive notification from Shopify that a shop is closed?
Following, I have the very same problem!

Anyone from Shopify can you please post an update? We're seeing a lot of 402s now, however not receiving any webhook events even though the app dashboard shows that an event did occur:
Any news on this one?
Would be nice to see an official shopify statement to this. 😞
It still does not work. Can anyone clarify the situation?
