We have developed this app: Findify Search & Merchandise which is listed already in the market place
This app has received already many updates, and so there are already more than 100 versions, we know that all the instances of this app are updated and all are always meant to be on the latest version with its pros and cons.
This app has extensions app blocks & embedded coming along.
The issue is that for certain development store that have the app installed, they have a old version and they do not update to latest even if uninstalled and re-installed. The app embedded and blocks have settings that are old, out of dated, replaced with newer ones which clearly are deployed as they are available on other stores.

Try toggling this option on or off which can be found in your Shopify partners app settings page for "extensions".

It would be interesting to know what did get stuck in the CI/CD pipeline of the stores, or something similar, but it's alright, I'm really happy!
