Shopify Inbox - Follow-up message not sending

I've set up Shopify Inbox, but the follow-up message doesn't seem to be sent. I initially had it set to send during office hours and the away message to be sent outwith these times, but this didn't work. I've tried setting it to 'always send' and it still doesn't appear. 
Is there a solution to this problem?

Just got off with Shopify support as I have the same issue, Reply from support chat:

First, we would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and impacted your business. We would like to inform you that this is an ongoing issue that was already reported to us. Our developers are working on this already to get this fix. We know how important it is for you to have this issue get fixed right away. Rest assured that we are doing our best to get this on track. 
The issue was reported on April 1 and I understand that this is so inconvenient on your end. But I assure you that our developers team are working hard so this can be fixed.
For now, there's no timeframe yet. What I can promise you is once I get a word that it has been fixed, I will email you right away.
