Shopify <---> Vend Loyalty: App recomendations, or custom?

Currently there is only one approved app that integrates both systems for loyalty. Marsello. Without going into it, we don't like it. At all.

The app does precisely two things that we like: the integrated loyalty program and (certain of) the automations we can set up because Marsello has access to all transaction data.

Does anyone have any alternative recommendations? Apps that might potentially be able to get around this? Even a bespoke connection that anyone has had luck with?

We are at our wits end, and if we didn't want the loyalty program this badly we would have never even tried Marsello out.
