App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi, I recently created a Shopify app with the Ruby template. When it came time to deploy, I can't get past both build AND runtime errors caused by Rails Credentials errors. The issue persists no matter which hosting platform I go with. I've deleted and regenerated credentials for the app several times, and that didn't work either. I attempted setting the RAILS_MASTER_KEY inside the Dockerfile, the fly.toml file, in the Heroku manifest, and even I even started with a brand new app from the CLI to see if I could deploy that to either service, but I still get the same issues with a fresh template app. I've found multiple resources online that just say to set the rails master key as a remote build variable, and that's not working for me either.
Has anyone else had this issue? I'm about to trash my rails app and rebuild with node!
Here's my latest error when I check the fly.io logs...
`validate_secret_key_base': Missing `secret_key_base` for 'production' environment, set this string with `bin/rails credentials:edit`
