Shopify rejected provided credentials for private app

Hi, i am trying to create a custom app and use the api key and private key to link them. i currently receive the error "Shopify rejected provided credentials, please correct values and try again" i jsut copied and pasted the credentials and shop name so i am not sure how i am receiving this error. please advise
