Because Shopify store certificates contains very short validity, every time they expire and renew them, it throws an error in the connection with Shopify. We solved it by installing the new chain of trust on our servers every time it starts to fail, what should we do to preven this from happening?

This is the error that the connection throws every time the certificate validity changes: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Hello @ingejhonny

  • Configure your server to automatically update the chain of trust for Shopify. This can be done by using a tool like Certbot to automatically update the certificate chain for your server.
  • Use a longer-validity certificate for Shopify. Shopify offers certificates with a validity of up to 2 years. This will reduce the number of times that you need to update the chain of trust for your server.
  • Use a different certificate provider for Shopify. There are a number of certificate providers that offer longer-validity certificates for Shopify. This can be a good option if you are not able to use Certbot or if you do not want to use a longer-validity certificate for your entire server.
