Shopify Subscription API - read all subscriptions

This is more of a public question to the Subscription API team @ Shopify than the community.

How can those building analytics apps be able to report on *ALL* subscriptions and not just those "owned" by an app once the Subscription API is available.

Currently the answer I received from support was this is just not possible. Partner apps can only read subscriptions they themselves created. This effectively makes them ( and Shopify ) the only ones being able to create reports or do any kind of analytics on the subscriptions.

Would love to hear if there is a plan to support a scope where "all" subscriptions can be read or if there is some other way through the API that reporting apps can see information on subscriptions for orders.
