Hello,

Looking for a simple app that is built for shopify.

We sell live fish, and every day we need to count dead/missing fish.

Currently using the shopify inventory, but would like something more similar to stock take where we can see each stock take tasks being done.

Any help appreciated
Thanks

Hi @PlantedAquaria,

You can try using apps like Stocky, Trunk, or EasyScan from the Shopify App Store. These apps allow you to perform stock takes, track inventory adjustments, and monitor changes in real-time.

Since you need to count dead/missing fish daily, an app with stock take history and real-time tracking would be ideal. EasyScan is a good option if you want barcode scanning, while Stocky (by Shopify) is great for managing inventory efficiently.

Hi @PlantedAquaria

For a simple stock-taking solution, you can try apps like Stock Take by SKUSavvy, Stocky (by Shopify, if you’re on Shopify POS Pro), or EasyScan: SKU & Barcode. These apps allow you to track inventory adjustments, log stock takes, and monitor discrepancies more efficiently than Shopify’s default inventory system.

Since you’re dealing with live fish, you might benefit from a custom inventory tracking app that lets you mark losses (dead/missing stock) separately from sales. If you need a lightweight solution, using Google Sheets with Shopify’s inventory export/import feature can also help track stock takes manually with historical records

Hey @PlantedAquaria

We support stock taking and counting in our app https://apps.shopify.com/stock-take-inventory-count-1
It integrates into Shopify POS, if you are using that for your store. So no need to learn any new systems.
It supports barcode scanning if you have other physical products, but you can also manually count your fish for example.

If I can help you with this at all, please let me know,

Jordan
