App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi all.
I have a link in my footer to sitemap.xml which shows the default sitemap from shopify.
After installing translate & adapt also this link gets redirected to the aditional languages and this link does not work.
the native and working link is
mydomain.com/sitemap.xml and on the translated pages it gets redirected to for example mydomain.com/de-DE/sitemap.xml which does not work.
How can i edit this link without creating a redirect ?
Thanks in advance for a hint
Hallo,
I had the same problem, but redirect link solved the issue:
got to admin > Online Store > Navigation.
Upper right, click on View URL redirects > Cerate URL redirect.
In the field Redirect from type in your translated site URL e.g. yourdomain.com/de-DE/sitemap.xml
In the field Redirect to type in the original sitemap link e.g. yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
So the site will always navigate to the original sitemap link.
I'm waiting to hear from the others if there is another way of editing the url itself.
