Some way for have production and development projects on the same repo

Guys, I have a question about that, I'm development some app from shopify but already I deployed the app and that be running correctly but if I try start development this will change the URL from my app

If the URL app change to dev URL the users would see this branch and not the deployed app

so... do you know some way for have or handle this trouble?

some fix, idea or any thing for solve that?

this is the URL dev that I wann't show to final users, but alway that I want run command `shopify dev` this will change the production URL to dev URL

I think this is a common issue for everyone who deploys their first app...

I recommend having two separate repositories for two separate Apps in two separate stores. (A dev system and a productive system)

This should be the easiest way (maybe even the only way)

It is the way I work and others too, like in this thread over here

I had this exact same problem and ended up on this thread. I wrote up a complete blog post about how I was able to get my development and production workflow setup

I relied heavily on the Configuration documentation but I found it still a little bit confusing. Please let me know if you have anymore questions
