Subscription app for unique monthly items?

Hi all,

I've gone through several of the subscription apps, but haven't found one that meets our needs. Most are geared toward consumables or items that a customer wouldn't mind receiving more than one of. However, we sell puzzles - which once you have a certain one, you don't want another of the same!

The ideal app would achieve something similar to BeerDrop - where the customer can choose one or more categories of the items they want to include in the subscription, the items that they are sent each month are randomized, and what they receive each month is unique - not something they've already received. Additionally a customer portal for subscription management - pause/skip/swap/etc.

Are there any existing subscription apps out there like this? Thanks!

Firstly, I love the vision you have for this feature on your store and I can definitely see how this will benefit both your customers and your business! I know you've already said you've gone through many apps in the Shopify App Store and the requirements would be rare to find in one app. However, I have looked into one app, if you haven't already looked into this already -

I believe a feature you could potentially use within this app that can work in your favour is the Build-A-Box section, as you could update this frequently with a one-of-a-kind puzzle during each subscription period and it also provides a lot more flexibility for customers to choose their own items (if wanting a unique item each month).

An alternative would be to look into a third-party developer who could potentially create a custom app and code for your store with all the features you're needing! You can take a look at our Shopify Experts marketplace to find a developer suitable for your business!
