Subscription apps with discounts

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a store for a client and on of their asks are to implement a subscription based payment app with discounts. They are looking to have the discounts apply on every 10th order. Alternatively, they're also exploring a discount for your 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th order. I used ReCharge in the past but also looked into Bold subscriptions as an option. My question is would something like this be possible and how would I go about implementing this? From what i've read, you can leverage both the ReCharge and Bold subscription API's to customize how you want your subscription service to work. Would this have to be done through a custom app? Any help would be very much appreciated! I mostly deal with theme customizations so this is a little out of my realm.

Anyone have any idea to implement this or have done this before? Would this have to be a custom app the utilizes the ReCharge API and apply the discounts?
