T-Shirt Print Platform for my designs on various shirt materials sizes and colors inventory tracking

You would think I were trying to build a rocket to fly to Mars. This can't be that complicated.

I have a brick-and-mortar store and I want to build a website to accompany it. We have several hundred designs to choose from, the customer picks a design, picks the style shirt (or hoodie, sweatshirt, hat, etc) that they want the design put on and we heat press the design on the spot.

Everything I see is Print on Demand (which is essentially what we're doing) minus the drop-shipping. We print our own designs using a DTF printer and heat press (or some are screen printed) we do them ourselves in-house. We have inventory that needs to be tracked (blank shirts from different brands and different colors, sizes of each.) it is vitally important that product only be available for purchase if it's in stock to avoid customer service issues.

We also would like the images to show a mock up of the design on the shirt with the color of shirt chosen by the customer. Printify and many other platforms do this automatically. Printify manages stock levels automatically and makes products unavailable when out of stock as well.

Is there an app OR WAY TO WITHOUT AN APP that does the same thing Printify does except for a company that is printing and pressing (or screen print) their own shirts? In other words carrying inventory, making the product themselves and handling the shipping/store pickup on their own.

To recap, this solution needs to do the following:

- Automatically populate variants across all products in regards to T-Shirt Brand/style, Color and Size. We have hundreds of designs and add more almost daily. I do not want to manually enter several hundred possible style, color and size options for every product along with pictures and inventory counts.

- Show different pictures of each color shirt and automatically mock the design onto said shirt.

- Track inventory across the board. - (example) when someone buys one design and chooses a Black XL Gildan cotton shirt, that inventory is reduced for all products (our designs) across the board.

What I DO NOT NEED:

- Dropshipping (print on demand)
- Ability for customers to customize an image or upload one. They will simply choose pre-made designs we have available and choose what shirt brand/style, color and size they want it printed on.

Hi @faroutteez,

I am Anne from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.  Regarding your request, I have a few comments as follows:

  • The feature you proposed is very creative but also highly complex.
  • Companies like Printify, have already developed robust apps in this field. These include well-known print-on-demand solutions, alongside others like Printful and Gelato.
  • If you want to develop a similar app, it will require a substantial budget to achieve your desired outcome. I suggest reaching out to agencies specializing in print-on-demand apps, like Printify, to create custom solutions. This approach could be more cost-effective since they already have established codebases and processing workflows.

If you haven’t found a suitable solution yet, I would be happy to discuss your project further. Please feel free to share your thoughts or contact via anne@mageplaza.com.

Wish you a Happy New Year!

So you're telling me places sell sublimation printers, DTF printers, DTG printers all day long everyday and I'm the only person on the planet trying to sell my t-shirts from a website? It's neither highly complex nor should it be highly expensive. I have different t-shirts available with different colors. All I'm wanting is the ability for someone to pick a design, what shirt they want it on and what color. It shouldn't be that complicated in the world we live in today.
