Tagging App for Trending Products

We have a 'trending' slider on the front page of our store, and are looking for an app that can automatically tag and manage products as 'trending' based on highest quantity sold in a defined period, such as 48 hours, <5 days, etc. We can then have our slider show any of the products with this tag.

Does anyone have a recommendation?
