thirdpartyapp or calculated shipping rates on Shopify

Hello 

I’m mike and I’m just starting my experience with my own business and Shopify 

I’m based in Poland and want to ship only with inpost ,inpost paczkomaty for Poland and fedex for international.

i tried baselinker but it’s complicate 

Baselinker is a seperate app and i want a app that i can use on Shopify.

Yesterday i saw that I also can upgrade my plan and use calculated shipping rates on Shopify without any thirdpartyapp

So my question is:

What is better ?

upgrade my plan and use calculated shipping rates on Shopify or

use an third party app 

and which one to use 

what’s the difference between both ?

As much as I found out, using the calculated shipping rates on Shopify only costs me to upgrade my Shopify plan and using a third party app will cost me a few cents per printed label every time

what can be more expensive over time.

Hello @mikeiwelski,

Shopify shipping is not supported in Poland. To integrate InPost and FedEx, you require apps.

To offer carrier-calculated rates at checkout, you are required to have CCS enabled on your Shopify plan.

The PH Ship Rate and Track app can integrate with FedEx; however, you may need another app to integrate with InPost.

Alternatively, you can use Shopify flat rate to configure shipping rates and use the carrier website to process your shipment labels. This is the most affordable option as you do not require CCS enabled on the plan or need to use any app. If you are starting and have only a few orders, this works.

However, if you have more orders or require accurate rates at checkout, then you need an app.
