Tiered Discounts on Individual Products, Within a Certain 'Product Type'

Hi community, 

Here's the challenge in a nutshell: We are looking to implement a "Buy X Get Y Off" discount scheme for a substantial collection of products on our e-commerce site. However, this discount is not intended for all products; it specifically applies to a certain Product Type. Additionally, we do not want customers to be able to combine multiple products to receive the discount – it should only be applied to individual products within the specified category.

As of now, our approach has been to manually create discounts for each product through the Shopify platform, but this is becoming impractical given the sheer volume of our products (700+ and growing daily). We are seeking a more automated solution that can be applied to the designated Product Type.

Our goal is to make the purchasing process straightforward for our customers. We plan to display an image, "buy more save more," on the Product Display Page (PDP) without making it clickable. Customers will have the discount automatically applied when they add the specified quantity to their cart.

I'm hopeful that some of you have encountered similar challenges or have innovative ideas on how to streamline this process. Your suggestions and insights would be greatly appreciated.

FYI "Bulk Discounts Now WOD" app does not work properly. Steer clear from them.

At Quantity X, you could create a volume discount offer for the collection that automatically will include products with a certain product type. When new products are added to the collection, the offer will be displayed automatically as well. 
And for sure, discounts apply automatically based on the cart content, without the need to click on the offer.

Hi Mike, we just built this into Simple Discounts into the tiered/quantity break feature. To set up your specific scenario, you'd have to 1) select the collection and 2) select - Discount is applied when customer selects from "same product only". Discounts are automatically applied when they meet the threshold. Hope this solves the issue and let me know if I can help out further.
