App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Every time we receive a sample request in TikTok Affiliate Center for more than 1 unit, even though we approve them in one batch, they are splitting in to multiple orders. Each item is becoming its own order in both TikTok Shop and Shopify, which means that each item will then ship individually from our 3PL (shipbob). I have not found any documentation about this online, and TikTok support has not been responsive.
Has anyone seen this, and had success resolving? Please help!
I would contact whoever "they" are from "they are splitting in to multiple orders".
If it's an app, they can apply some logic to not create 2 orders separate orders.
If that solution doesn't work, you could contact whatever app creates your TikTok orders in Shopify, and ask them to add a condition to not create certain orders (those sample orders) that match that criteria.
Whatever app is creating the order in Shopify can control whether they create it or not, so they would be the best source to contact.
Another idea, you could ask ShipBob to ignore those orders.
Example:
1. Order comes in and is tagged TikTok Affiliate (or whatever data you see on the order details page to identify that type of order).
2. Tell ShipBob to ignore those orders
If those type of orders aren't tagged, then you could ask them to use a different order detail.
Thank you, but unfortunately it's coming from the TikTok side and it is nearly impossible to get any real support over there. "They" refers to the orders- the orders are splitting IN the TikTok Affiliate center and we do not know why.
We can't just have Shipbob ignore them, we want to ship these units, but we want to ship them together in ONE sales order. There is no app creating our tiktok orders in Shopify; we are using TikTok App for Shopify. The TikTok app itself is the issue and we are not able to find any help or documentation on this, or find anyone who has dealt with it before.
Oof, sorry to hear they're not providing good support.
Yeah it sounds like either TikTok or the TikTok App for Shopify you mentioned would be the ones that could solve this problem.
Another workaround idea... you said there is no app creating TikTok order in Shopify, but you also said you're using TikTok App for Shopify, and posting here in Shopify, so I'm assuming the orders actually are getting created in Shopify and I'm just reading your comment wrong, if that's the case you could could cancel the order with the sample unit then add that sample to the regular order. You can automate stuff like that with Order Automator, or you could have a notification go to staff to manually bundle the orders in Shopify before it gets sent to ShipBob, or you could ask ShipBob to identify those type of orders and bundle them. I've worked with ShipBob before, they've been great I remember them doing some customizations for us.
But if the orders indeed are not getting created in Shopify, 100% you'd need to rely on TikTok support, or ShipBob if they're reading the orders from there.
The orders are being created in TikTok shop, and being passed to Shopify as separate orders. It is not feasible or sustainable for us to be catching and combining them. I simply do not know why TikTok Affiliate center is creating a separate sales order for every sample unit.
This is not something any of the brands you've worked with have seen before?
I've had very similar problems, TikTok Customer Service are absolutely Shocking, might as well ask a passer by in the street for help!
Did you ever figure out a solution?
If you were asking Me then No I Didn't. I've had enough of asking and asking TikTok Sellers Customer Services, they might as well be working somewhere where they don't Have to communicate with Anyone! I closed my TikTok shop today and I'm Happy I Did
I got similar problem except it being duplicate on Shopify side, I got 1 order on TikTok and 2 fulfillment on Shopify. Did anyone find a solution?
Only thing I can think of is contacting Shopify
that's what was happening to me too- each single item on a tik tok order, was being split in to its own shopify order. so a tik tok order for 2 units was becoming two individual single unit orders on the shopify side. We have not seen a fix, but we also haven't seen any success selling on TikTok Shop. Neither TikTok nor Shopify was helpful.
Has anyone found a way to make it stop sending everything singles ?
Doesn't look like it, happens to us as well. Every tik tok order comes through as a shopify order also. Buyers paying for one item but getting 2.
