To better optimize the Google Ads campaign I would like to monitor in some way the Inbox app. every time a user start a chat I would like to measure a conversion. This could be done in Google Analytics with events but Inbox doesn't send any events to Google Analytics. Has someone ever done this kind of conversione tracking? is it possible somehow?
I'm looking for something similar, I've tried using tag assistant and a Chrome Developer tools extension while using Inbox, and it doesn't so anything in either tool.
Is there still no answer to this question?

I'm facing same problem.
I tried Tag Manager but it didn't work, my best guess is tag manager events cannot be binded during page init because chat window is dynamically generated on demand.

Same problem here. This is really important for us as right now a lot of our paid leads are flowing into Shopify Inbox instead of the usual form submissions, which is screwing up our Google Ads campaign metrics. If anyone has a solution, we are happy to pay!

Does anyone have an update to this? I have even been trying to do it with Zapier and every time I have gotten close, there is an issue. It is crazy to me that this isn't just out of the box with the Shopify/Google Analytics connection.
In case this helps someone think of something I haven't, one thing I discovered is that Inbox tags our customers "Inbox online store chat" every time a customer is created from an Inbox conversation. I attempted to make some zaps with this logic but nothing worked.
