Tracking Store Credit

Hello! I own a shop where we offer new items alongside secondhand. I am hoping to soon begin a resale component where I'd be buying items directly from customers. I'm want to offer a shop credit option but want the shop credit to only apply to secondhand items in the store, not new items. I'm looking for best ways and practices to track shop credit -- are there any apps out there that can keep track of this for me, and bonus if it integrates with Shopify POS!!

Hi,

that's a tricky question. You could run store credit through gift cards without apps, but you won't be able to limit it to a specific group of products.
Discounts can do that, but they don't track the used credit.

And both are not closely related to customers.

There are a few apps, but a quick search didn't show any features to limit the credit to specific product groups. You might need to text a lot of app supports.

Or you could try to combine an app like that, with another one, that allows limiting payment methods with specific rules.

With support for product level store credit configuration - I believe our solution might fit the bill in your case.

Do you use a automated collection to keep track of all the second hand items on the store?

all our secondhand items are tagged as such and separated into collections,
