Our shopify account was set up and connecting to a Facebook business manager and everything was working smoothly! Due to some issues with that manager, we had to stop using it and transfer all the assets to a new Facebook Business Manager.
So I decided to disconnect the old one form shopify and start the new connection. It worked very easily with messenger but for some reason I’m not able to connect the Facebook sales channel!! Look at the attached screenshot - that’s the error message that comes up.
Everytime I click on reconnect, it takes me to the Facebook page and asks me to log in. I try logging in and it does and then the page starts refreshing but it comes back to the same error message again!! I spoke to shopify and Facebook both and they’re not able to figure out the issue. Tried all the connection fixes - clearing caches, incognito, trying from the mobile app etc.
Even disconnecting all the Facebook dales channels and deleted the shopify business integration on Facebook to start fresh. Still came back to the same error message! I’m not sure what’s happening because I can see that once I log in, the business integration is appearing in the settings of my Facebook account. But it’s unable to show up on shopify.
Has anyone else had this issue? Please help!! Let me know what worked for you.
