Upgrading to yearly plan for shopify shipping

Hi everyone. 

We learned that if we upgrade our plan to yearly, we can use shopify shipping for free. So we have two questions about this. 

1- If we switch our plan to yearly today, is shopify shipping will be available automatically or should we talk to shopify support team first. 

2- Is this offer permanent? Does it mean "as long as we are using basic yearly plan, we also can use shopify shipping?".

Thanks for sharing your query with us here in the Shopify Community and I'd be very happy to clarify this situation for you.

If you choose to pay your Shopify plan annually, rather than monthly, we can add access to our carrier-calculated shipping rates API to your store.

Check out that guide doc in some detail as it will likely answer a lot of questions you may have about how that works.

If you'd like to proceed with this change, you can switch your billing to annual and then reach out to us via our Help Centre here so we can enable this access for your account once you have done so. 

This feature would be permanently enabled for your store if it remains on an annual billing plan, yes!

Is there a specific app or service you're looking to use this feature with that is helpful to your business?

Do you know what else you need to work on in terms of your store or business next?

Hi Don. Thanks for the fast reply.

Rright now we upgraded our billing cycle to yearly. But i cant find direct messaging section to support from the link you provided. Can you please reach me via my mail? We are ready for Shopify Shipping upgrade.
