What app can help synchronize inventory and bundle products for my store?

Hey there,

I need an app that can solve all of the following problems:

1. Syncing inventory with multiple products in my Shopify store. We sell CDs that are signed and unsigned as different products and their inventory needs to be synced.

2. Bundling different products together to create a new product bundle that is listed as a product on our Shopify store and managing the stock of the constituent products (some of which will be CD SKUs used by multiple products)

3. Sync inventory from Woocommerce and Shopify.

Happy to help. Because your requests are different in scope, you will likely need two apps to accomplish what you are looking for. I'll recommend a couple of solutions for you:

1 and 2. Connected Inventory by InsCoder Limited will help you accomplish this. Essentially it gives you the ability for product variants to share the same parent inventory. That way, whether a customer chooses a signed or unsigned CD, it's going to pull from the same parent inventory count. In addition, they also allow you to create bundles. 

For example, selling 1 camera kit reduces the inventory quantity of the camera by 1, lenses by 2, and tripod by 1 (the whole bundle).

3. As far as syncing inventory across multiple channels (Shopify and Woocommerce), you would want to utilize a multi-channel inventory syncing app that supports both Woocommerce and Shopify. I haven't been able to find one on our Shopify store that accomplishes this. However, I'm confident one of our Shopify experts would be able to develop a custom coded app solution for you at a reasonable price. 

With that said, could you tell me a bit more about your multi-channel setup between Woocommerce and Shopify? Do you run two separate stores that you want to communicate together?

This is a common issue for our users where they have a master stock product which is then linked to multiple other products or bundles. In examples 1 and 2 you would bundle the component SKU(s) into the product you are selling.

Our bundle app has 2 main features that would help you in this set up:

1. Inventory Management

Bundleup lets you connect up products to correct SKUs and we then update their inventory based on the component stock level. So if your first scenario you would simply bundle the signed and unsigned products with the same inventoried SKU. It might be just be one of these 2 or a third product that controls inventory. If the inventoried SKU goes out of stock both signed and unsigned products would also go out of stock.

For your second scenario it works the same way and with our app you don't have to edit your theme but rather you just set up your bundles like any other product and detail what it contains.

2. Order Fulfilment

When you sell one of the bundles or signed/unsigned products the master stock level won't reduce automatically. What Bundleup does is update the order post purchase by replacing the order line with the component SKUs as order lines which then reduces stock. This then feeds into point 1 above where it updates all linked products.

For the third part of inventory sync from Woocommerce - we currently offer syncs between Shopify stores and couple of other platforms and will be adding Woo soon. In the meantime you could use a csv app that exports from Woo and then have a csv app importing the file automatically into Shopify.

The bundle inventory is automatically set based on the available inventories of the bundle item(s), including the inventories of the variants.
