App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi, I'm looking for an app that will allow me to tag the variants of a product with their size/colour options. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Hi @BenardC
It's Garcia, Conversion Rate Optimization Experts. Based on my extensive experience in CRO, a few Shopify apps that might help you tag product variants:
Please check them out and see which one suits your needs best. You should read the reviews and details of each app, pricing plan also, before deciding.
Beyond apps, consider exploring drag-and-drop page builders like Pagefly, Shogun, Zipify... These tools go beyond simple tagging by letting you build custom sections that dynamically showcase your variant options. Imagine clickable color swatches that instantly update product images and descriptions, or size charts seamlessly integrated into the page flow. This level of interactivity and visual appeal surpasses what most apps can offer, making it easier for customers to understand and engage with your product offerings.
I hope this helps you craft the perfect tool for your store!

You can't tag variants. Do you mean that you want to tag the product with all of the size/color options of the variants?
Okay definitely doable to tag the products with the variant specifics. But collections can still only contain products. What most people do who want the variants to show up in collections (i.e. you want to show a black shoe and a read shoe as separate items in a collection) is to break them off as separate products, which is a bit of a hassle but I think it's the only way to show them individually in collections.
is there an app that does autotagging based on availability of the variant. For example, i have a product with size variant small, medium, large. Can an app tag the product when small quantity is more than 1 and untag it when the qty goes below 1.
Yeah and actually I think you could do that in flow.
Did you ever figure out if this exists? I'm also wondering how to do this.
