I appreciate you coming to ask about how folks manage to get people to purchase their products. There are a lot of factors that are involved in successful sales. It's a whole system of martketing, buyer engagement, buyer experiencing, pricing, shipping; the list goes on! It's important to determine what may need to be tweaked, or worked on, to drive sales in your store. Below, I'll provide you with some resources and advice on ways you can drive traffic to your store!
- Marketing - Marketing is the thing I've found to have the most impact with driving sales. Customers won't know your store and products exists unless you take steps to make them aware. Create social media accounts for your business that you can use to post deals or products, and ultimately connect with potential customers. Some trusted platforms to market on include Facebook and Instagram, but TikTok is proving to be a great place to market right now, as well. - Conversion Funnel - This is another critical part of your workflow. The conversion funnel is another way of describing customers finding their way to your store, and placing an order. It includes all steps of the buying experience. You can find more information on this funnel here: https://bit.ly/3FDlhrh. It's important to identify areas in your conversion funnel that may be deterring customers from placing orders. Is the user experience on your website too slow, or too complicated? Is it easy to find the products? Is the marketing reaching them? Are the shipping settings done correctly? These are all things you'll want to look into to make sure things are set up as needed.
- Strategy - The last information I'll provide you with at this time is about your product strategy. Are you selling products that are desired, or fill a need for consumers? Are you selling products that many other retailers are selling? It's important to think about your products, and how you brand them, if you're dealing with smaller markets, or overcrowded markets. Another thing to consider is your shipping rates. Are the prices you're charging for shipping too expensive for some customers? Many folks that dropship, for example, offer free shipping to make up for longer than average shipping times. Free shipping is a fantastic tool to drive sales in a store. Beyond that, store wide discount codes can also help. It's important that your customers feel like they're getting value out of their transaction with your store.
