What features would help florists set up an online flower shop?

Hi everyone!

I'm working on an app to make Shopify more florist friendly. This first app helps you set up a bouquet product that accepts customer preferences (think palettes, size, flower requests, gift notes). I’m coming at this as a flower buyer who thinks the online experience could use some changes, so I’d love to hear your thoughts from the vendor side! 

What types of customer preferences do you wish were easy to collect, without having to figure out the Shopify set up yourself?

And are there other general features you really wish Shopify had that would make your life easier as a florist? I know there are already apps for things like delivery, card notes, etc...

DId you ever develop the app? It sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! I'd love for customers to be able to choose size, colors, leave notes to the designer and for the recipient.

I have a beta version of the bouquet builder but paused development for now. Curious if you want the customer to be able to select preferences for certain flowers (e.g. dislike carnations, likes roses), or just color combinations and size?

FYI I know there are paid apps for gift notes, but it's pretty easy to set up for free! I wrote a blog post tutorial: https://foxtailcreates.com/blog/add-gift-notes/

Great question. Mostly select color and size more than specific flower
type. Thanks for the tip on notes. I'll check it out.
