What occurs when you cancel app subscriptions during an active billing cycle?

What happen if a merchant cancel app subscriptions during active billing cycle

For example: Merchant create app subscription "A" on 1st August, then cancel this subscription  "A" or replace it by another app subscription "B" (with different price ) on 15th August. Does merchant have refund for the rest of billing cycle of subscription A ??

Apps that charge merchants using subscriptions are billed on an independent, 30-day billing cycle. This billing cycle is charged for at the same time as the Shopify subscription. There are two types of subscriptions:

• Recurring pricing plans
• Usage pricing plans
  
  

In regard to getting a refund or not, that is solely down to the app developers and not Shopify. A request would need to be made to them directly, or our support teams can make the request on your behalf. If the app was installed on the store for all or most of the billing period, then the charge would remain, and you would likely not get a refund. We have a thorough help doc on how app charges work right here at this link.  In your example it is only half the month, however again it is entirely up to the developer if it warrants a refund or not.

When merchant create app subscription on 1st May with 29$ , then cancel subscription on 15th May. Developer still get 29$ on the next Shopify Subscription , right ?
