What's the most cost-effective sales tax app for small businesses?

I launched my Shopify website in April. I attempted to file my California 1/4'ly sales tax report without success with the sales tax csv file converted to excel worksheet. I file in California 1/4'ly. What is the most economical sales tax app that files the report for you? There's allot to choose from. I just received a quote from Alvara, it would be $506.00 a year. I'm not a huge business!
